Inamo, Soho & Covent Garden

Inamo, Soho & Covent Garden

Go back to the future at Inamo. Situated in Soho and St James they definitely leave tradition at the door. With its hi-tech atmosphere, diners will feel like they have stepped into a time machine and have been transported into the future.

From the outside, Inamo is seemingly ordinary, yet as you step inside you are greeted by large projection pods that are situated above each table, transforming each table into massive computer screens. This allows each diner to have a bespoke dining experience; you can chose the table mat patterns and even play computer games, such as battleships on the table.

Michael McIntyre

Sir Cliff Richard, Alesha Dixon, Rob Brydon, Michael McIntyre and The Saturday’s

Sir Cliff Richard, Alesha Dixon, Rob Brydon, Michael McIntyre and The Saturday’s were joined by "Go West," Biggins and the stars of Britain's Got Talent to provide an all-star line up for a charity party at London’s Grosvenor House raising £225,000 and featuring in Hello and OK magazines.
CL Events oversaw the entire event management, ensuring it was a sell out event and that over 1,000 party goers had a night they will never forget.
To give it an added twist, guests entered into the party spirit with “Gameshow Madness”, the ultimate party game, which rolled The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right and Family Fortunes into a night of total lunacy and a lora, lora laughs!

Dalston Roof Park

Dalston Roof Park

It’s safe to say that the summer weather was very much overdue and it seems the entire population of London couldn’t wait to get out there and top up their vitamin D as soon as the clouds cleared! Now this was great, but only if you were lucky enough to get there in time to nab yourself one of the hugely demanded outdoor tables. However, I for one am never one of the lucky few and therefore it seemed about time I went on the hunt for somewhere a little off the beaten track!

Holidays with a difference...

Holidays with a difference…

Holidays are often the highlight of the year and this year is certainly no exception. With the coldest May in over 300 years and monsoon level rains hitting the majority of the UK, it’s safe to say we can’t wait to escape to a little summer sun. However, why not break from tradition and stay in a hotel with a difference.

  • Green Magic Treehouses, Kerala, India/li>
  • The Ice Hotel, Sweden
  • Rangali Island Resort, the Maldives
  • M/V Aria, the Amazon

Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites Stratford London are up and running…

If you are looking for a hotel close to the Olympic Park, they don’t come much closer than IHG’s Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites in Stratford London. In fact, you’d better keep your bedroom window closed if you stay there, in case the wind takes the javelin in the wrong direction. It’s that close!

CL Events were willing guinea pigs for a trial run, prior to the Holiday Inn Stratford London’s official opening in May 2012. It’s been a while since Holiday Inn have had a new opening in London, so this hotel is a flagship for the brand.

The Nolitan Hotel

The Nolitan Hotel

One of my hang ups about staying in hotels is the check-out time. 11am on a Saturday morning is no time to be spat out of a hotel lobby whilst staff smile insincerely. “Come again” is definitely not on my mind when my breakfast is still digesting and the rain begins to trickle down the collar of my mac (I think I may be the only one who still wears one of these).

Having rolled out of bed on the right side morning (you may seem surprised), I’ve set myself the task of researching hotels with late check-out times. Meandering my way through the www I have stumbled across a gem of a boutique hotel recently opened in none other than NYC. The added bonus is that the check-out time (wait for it), is 2pm! Finally someone sensible is working the clocks.

Late Night London... Zoo!

Late Night London… Zoo!

On the 24 June 2011, CL decided to let their hair down and have a ‘wild’ evening! What better way to do this than at the London Zoo Late Night!

We were greeted upon arrival by a throng of twenty – something’s hiding in the entrance, sheltering from the very heavy rain. As we had not been able to print off our tickets we asked a member of staff were we had to go to collect them. They did not know. Nor did the next member of staff. Third time lucky and we were pointed in the direction of an un- signposted service point.
