The Crystal Takes Sustainable Meeting Venues in London to the Next Level

Category: Venues | London Venue |

The Crystal at London Dockland is one of the most striking buildings on London’s skyline and is an innovative addition to London conference venues. It is located directly next to the Emirates Airline cable car, which provides a stunning view over Canary Wharf. Over the past couple of years this state of the art building has gained a huge amount of attention for a number of reasons, one of which being that it is the ‘greenest’ building in the world. This unique building provides a sustainable meeting venue in London for conference and events focused not only around sustainability but also technology.

This innovative building is all-electric and uses solar power and a ground source heat pump in order to generate its own energy and therefore dramatically reduce its carbon footprint. Not only this, but the building is designed to incorporate rainwater harvesting, solar heating and automated management systems all of which takes energy efficiency to the next level.

Whilst half of the building is allocated to the offices of Siemens, the other half is made up of a range of exhibition and conferences facilities. There are seven flexible meeting rooms which, on average hold 25 delegates. These meetings rooms can however be expanded and arranged in a variety of ways in order to hold larger groups if necessary. In addition to this there is also London’s most high-tech auditorium which holds up to 270 delegates making it ideal for any number of events including conferences and presentations.
