Jewel Tower – A New Private Venue to Hire in Westminster

The Jewel Tower opposite the Houses of Parliament offers a new space for small groups seeking to hire a private venue in Westminster.

This hidden gem, which is part of English Heritage, dates back to 1365. Back then it housed Edward III’s treasures and was known as the ‘King’s Privy Wardrobe’.  Some walk-in wardrobe!

Most of the medieval Palace of Westminster, of which this was part, disappeared in a fire in 1834. The Jewel Tower is only one of two buildings that were saved.

Focal points across three floors include 14th century ribbed ceilings and an anti-clockwise spiral staircase; a cunningly designed defence feature.

There is also a small adjacent garden.
